Heather Harrison

After training at Ravensbourne School of Art and Design, and the Central School of Art, I became a graphic designer. Designing art gallery catalogues for Gimpel Fils, I worked for Conran and other major London design groups. I’ve always painted though, and sold my work through an agent in Chelsea, much of which is now in American collections, including the Pierpont Morgan family.

Painting mostly in oils or acrylics, my main interests are portraits, Still Life, anything nautical, plus the occasional landscape. Recent work includes a series of stylised flower paintings, with a strong emphasis on colour and design. I’m fascinated by plants and as both an artist and an avid gardener, have recently been focussing on the genre of garden art.
An exhibiting member of the Welland Valley Arts Society, and Northamptonshire & Rutland Open Studios, I have recently been accepted as a member of the prestigious Aldeburgh Arts Club.
