Meet the Artist!
My art is on cloth - sometimes painted, often layered and usually stitched. Inspired by the natural world, I work intuitively, responding to sketches and photos and embracing serendipity. Exploring colour palettes and building both visual and actual texture are important to me. I often re-purpose vintage cloth and combine my love of traditional western embroidery with the far eastern stitching traditions such as Boro, Sashiko and Kantha. I am also a qualified and experienced teacher and offer classes in hand stitching and creative textile art.
