Nine@78Derngate - A Showcase of Nine Talented Artists

Grab your chance to see this amazing exhibition by nine artists in the cultural quarter of Northampton 'Nine@78Derngate'. An explosion of creativity is taking place across September at 78 Derngate, as nine artists work to engage us with their independent voices of expression. with sculpture, mosaics, mixed-media, glass, painting and more, the home designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh is hosting this free event for the public to enjoy.

Running from the 29th of August to the 4th of October, 10am-4pm Tuesday to Sunday, this is one event to highlight in your calendar, with further special event days providing the opportunity to meet the artists on the 29th of August 12pm-4pm, as well as the 8th and 22nd of September 12pm-4pm. Ask those questions and understand the stories behind the art.

This exhibition is one of many organised by the Northants & Rutland Open Studios, who with a membership of hundreds of artists, have events ranging across the county with many open studios and venues taking part. Their Central Exhibition at Lamport Hall from the 6th September to the 3rd of October is a great place to start and venture outwards, while their 'nine@78Derngate' being a collection of artists not to miss out on.

Held in the magnificent venue of 78 Derngate, The Charles Rennie Mackintosh House provides the perfect venue to appreciate contemporary art as it runs throughout the gallery, shop and gardens. This exhibition of nine artists is free to the public, with the Dining Room Restaurant and shop also free to access, whilst tickets can be purchased to the museum which was famously remodelled over a 100 years ago by the architect, designer and artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh, who would surely be pleased by the continuation of arts.
