Marlene Snee
Northamptonshire artist, passionately creating original watercolours, limited edition original linoprints and traditional Chinese brush paintings

Meet the Artist!
Her art is inspired by her love of nature, her local countryside and places she has visited in the UK and abroad.
Marlene's favourite medium is watercolour as she finds it's transparency, luminosity and slight unpredictability very exciting.
She also enjoys the same qualities when practicing Chinese Brush painting, which she has been studying for many years. This ancient art presents a constant challenge, but is also a source of great pleasure and satisfaction.
Recently some of Marlene's Chinese Brush paintings were chosen to be featured in an exhibition in Chongqing, China and one of her paintings was selected for the permanent Collection of the British Embassy in Chongqing.
In recent years Marlene has added the creation of colourful reduction lino prints to her range of different artistic techniques, embracing the meditative quality of the print making process and it's results.
A former art tutor, Marlene has recently been elected as an associate member of Northampton Town and County Art Society and Welland Valley Art Society. Marlene is also a member of Kettering and District Art Society and Northants and Rutland Open Studios. She exhibits regularly in their annual shows as well as with Oundle Art group and at the Oundle Fringe Festival.
