Holly Cheek

Born in Corby, Northamptonshire, coming from two artistic parents who have always encouraged me from a young age to be creative. Whether its finding random objects and creating something out of nothing or painting the days away. I have always had the ability and want to create beautiful things. I studied Graphics Design at Tresham College in Kettering when I left school to further expand my knowledge, skillset and since then have been either putting myself through courses or teaching myself new things.

My work is heavily influenced by my love for underground music culture, alternative fashion, nature, graffiti and generally my experiences throughout my life.

The majority of my work is straight from my brain. Sometimes I get visions of vivid patterns and colours that I feel I need to be bring to life, spanning over multiple different mediums and depending on what feels right to me at the time. I also take my inspiration from natural forms and the other beauties our earth graces us with which is communicated through my art.

I would describe my work as quite chaotic, vibrant, random and I like to use texture in my work to create depth and the want to immersive yourself within the artwork.
