Meet the Artist!
My name is Christopher Drage. I am 32 and work with multiple mediums as a form of self expression. I have been interested in art my whole life, but I started making it "properly" when I was around 14 years old. My abstract work is an exercise in communicating internal feelings without using words or figuration and the emotional tone of these paintings can differ vastly. When it comes to my figurative paintings they tend to be still rather expressive, using mostly bold, block colours. My lino prints are heavily inspired by cubism and German expressionism and are almost always depictions of faces either from memory or from imagination. Illustration has always been a favourite outlet of mine. I have been lucky enough to work with local businesses (mostly skateboarding oriented) making designs for clothing and even skateboard decks. I have also released zines as well as t-shirts with my own work printed onto them.
