I am a mixed media painter, my work is a celebration of my interest in still life, flowers, landscape and texture.

Meet the Artist!
A passion for flowers and landscape dominate my mixed media paintings. I am always making mental notes about colour, shape, line and texture when I am walking around my garden and the beautiful surrounding countryside in Rutland, where I live.
I paint from my new, modern, light filled studio, set in my rural garden overlooking the rolling Rutland countryside in South Luffenham. The golden triangle between Uppingham, Stamford and Oakham.
The countryside, and local coastline provides year round interest and inspiration for my paintings, I am inspired in particular by the continual cycle of nature.
I am a qualified teacher and offer painting workshops at various times of the year to adults and groups of children aged 11-16 years. These are advertised on my website www.gilliandurno.co.uk
