Donna O'Sullivan
Art as Exorcism

Meet the Artist!
Her practice first emerged as a response to stress and burnout, transforming inner pressure into fierce, expressive colour. It has since evolved into a broader exploration of transformation, imagined landscapes and the hidden histories held beneath a painted surface. Earlier compositions are often buried, disrupted and rebuilt, leaving traces of what came before.
Drawing upon spiritual symbolism, dream imagery and emotional experience, Donna creates work that can feel both confrontational and contemplative. Black meets gold, rigid structures interrupt fluid skies, and turbulent surfaces open into moments of unexpected calm. These paintings do not sit quietly in a room; they are emotionally charged, defiantly alive and unmistakably hers.
