Dawn Edge is the artist behind The Running Pheasant Art. Dawn is a Towcester, Northamptonshire-based artist whose work is deeply inspired by her links to rural life and coastal landscapes. Drawing from the beauty of nature, wildlife, and the world at large, she infuses her art with the essence of these elements. A key feature of her work is the use of light, to brings subjects to life with vibrancy, depth and character.

Her diverse artistic repertoire includes acrylic, watercolour, mixed media, digital art, soft pastel and graphite. Each medium allows her to express different facets of her vision, exploring unique textures and emotions in her creations.

While she is primarily self-taught, Dawn started returning to her passion for art a decade ago after exploring an alternative career path. This journey back to her roots enriches her practice, allowing her to grow, bringing a fresh perspective and maturity to her new work.

In addition to taking commissions, Dawn enjoys being an active member of the Towcester District Art Society and participating in the Northampton and Rutland Open Studios. These engagements allow her to connect with fellow artists and the community, continually inspiring and evolving her artistic journey.

Dawn has a varied portfolio and on occasion uses digital amplification to enhance artwork for prints or to make surface pattern designs.
