Catherine is a British artist based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. Inspired by a deep connection to the natural world, drawing upon memories of a childhood spent in nature.
Catherine’s fine art practice explores the organic form of flowers and landscapes, with a sensitivity to atmosphere and movement. She paints with intuitive mark making, using mainly acrylics, oil pastels and watercolours.
Her love of colour and pattern are apparent in her work and developed whilst studying at Nottingham Trent University for a BA (Hons) degree in Decorative Arts in 2001, followed by an MA in Textile Design 2002.
