Tara Dolby
Pottery packed with personality

Meet the Artist!
The potted history of this potter...
I fell in love with pottery in the 1970s, sat in front of the TV, watching the potter's wheel intermission film on the BBC. The wheel at my primary school sat in the art room untouched and unloved. I gazed in awe at it most days but it was never used. The art teacher could often be heard muttering about 'the mess' when asked if class could 'have a go'. So, one degree in Biochemistry and a 30 year (and counting) career in radio later, I finally got to put my foot to the pedal. I've been making up for lost time ever since. My inspiration is colour and fun. If it makes me smile, it will probably do the same to someone else as well. We all need a bit of fun.
