My work employs deliberate wobbly lines, my favoured bright colours and a healthy dose of humour to transform the overlooked and imperfect corners of the natural world into charming lopsided textile art pieces.

Each creation embraces beautiful imperfection over polished precision, giving a voice to the creatures and creatures-in-progress that don't usually get the spotlight. 

I favour expressive distortion over naturalistic precision. Wobbly lines and clashing colours aren't mistakes to be corrected: they're the whole point. There's humour in the imperfection, and I think that's where the charm lives.

My creative path has been anything but straight, full of twists, turns, and the occasional detour. It began with a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Textile Design & Production, followed by twenty years working in the commercial world of textile production. That grounding gave me a deep technical understanding of materials and process — knowledge I now happily bend, stretch and occasionally break in service of something more playful.

Still, the need to make things has always been there, quietly persistent through every change of direction — and it's what's led me here, to a practice that finally feels like home.
