Transforming patterns, repetition and shape into rhythmical colourful realities embracing calm and creativity.

Meet the Artist!
Paintings usually begin with a limited palette and tonal range that I spend a long time mixing and creating. Colours are hand printed onto a variety of papers, in patterns which are then used to create layers and interest. I aim to use colours and patterns to create a space that soothes and calms.
The joy of painting for me lies in allowing the image to slowly emerge, develop, and flow from the process. From the initial experimentation stage of hand-printing papers, I will then add marks and layers into the painting along with the papers to create a final piece.
I spent a fantastic three years studying Fine Art in Leicester and continue to paint from my studio in the Vale of Belvoir.
