Meet the Artist!

I have always needed to do something with my hands, starting with sewing as a young girl, going on to creating costumes for a dance company. Then an interest in vintage jewellery started me on my beading journey. While sourcing interesting stones and cabochons to bead around I discovered polymer clay and I was hooked. The possibilities with this medium are astounding and I am learning something new every day. I still create a lot of beaded jewellery, currently designing and making beaded beetle brooches, but I find that I keep coming back to the polymer clay as I discover more and more possibilities for its use in my art.

I have also rediscovered my love of needle felting, creating tiny sculptures of birds and small mammals and here again I find polymer clay the perfect choice for the finishing details.
