Work in ceramics and oil paintings inspired by nature and local landscapes

Meet the Artist!
Ceramic beads are fashioned from earthenware clay and biscuit fired. They are then hand painted and glazed. This may be a pattern from ancient symbols or a complete landscape painted on an individual bead. These are then fired again, some in a traditional kiln and others in a Japanese Raku kiln which give a different range of colours and textures. If a real gold or platinum detail is added this then requires the beads to be fired a third time. All the clasps and ear wires are sterling silver.
