John Walton
Figurative art in water colour, oils, pen and ink

Meet the Artist!
I will be first to admit that I am a slow painter. Producing a painting involves making many decisions and I often feel that I contradict myself! So as well as painting pictures of a conventional size, I often paint small work(6cm x 7cm). Usually with a magnifying lens.
I enjoy painting landscapes in both oils and watercolour and I have also painted portraits. My wife and I have been to many exhibitions in this country and abroad and I enjoy drawing in The National Gallery.
I am a member of The Town and County Art Society with whom I have exhibited for over 10 years. I have undertaken commissions.
This year I was very pleased to have painting selected for The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours 214th Exhibition at The Mall Galleries, London.
