Meet the Artist!
I am a semi-abstract painter in acrylic and also use collage and mixed media in my work.
I am currently interested in the atmosphere of special places and how to encapsulate the memories they hold for me.
I did a Foundation in Art Design and a BA in Fine Art as an adult, and still do some printmaking and clay sculpture, but am concentrating on developing and exploring my painting.
I worked in the greeting card industry throughout my career and was lucky enough to work with many talented illustrators and textile artists, but never really did any art until I retired.
Last year I exhibited at Stamford Art Centre with a group of mostly local artists, and thoroughly enjoyed the chance to spend time with like minded people and discuss our work with visitors.
Our exhibition was called Kindred, and really gave us all an appetite to do it again.
