About this Collection

The beauty of a jigsaw linocut lies in achieving a multi-coloured finish from a single block of lino, without the need for complex layering or multiple passes through the press.
The process begins with a single, detailed carving. Once the design is complete, I carefully cut the lino block into separate, interlocking pieces using a fine blade—much like a traditional jigsaw puzzle. This allows me to "isolate" different areas of the composition.

By separating the pieces, I can ink each one individually - this series is inspired by mid Century colour combinations. These inked segments are then nested back together and printed in one single, decisive press. The result is a clean, vibrant two-colour print that retains the beautiful textures of the lino while allowing the colours to sit side-by-side with perfect precision.
