About this Collection
A remark on some nature documentary about butterflies being “bright as jewels.”made me think: what if they really were made of jewels? Perhaps like something Fabergé might have created? Or metal? Chrome and silver? Or metal and mechanical too? I've always been fascinated how light reflects off shiny things and how our eyes immediately understand them as being glass or metal. So I tried to get to the essence of what makes us see something as being shiny in a metallic way or as transparent crystal and came up with this collection of creatures
