About this Collection

These are animals that I have encountered in real life or seen photographs that were too irresistible not to sculpt. I only sculpt in water based clay. This is then moulded using silicon rubber and plaster. A hollow wax is cast from this mould and this is then invested, fired to produce a hollow negative and molten bronze is poured in. It is then chased or fettled, bead blasted and patinated. Once the desired patina is achieved the sculpture is sealed with wax. After the sculpture is finished in clay, the whole bronze foundry process takes an average of 12 weeks to complete.
