About this Collection
The world of butterflies and moths is different from our own, seeing in ultra violet colours which we can't detect with our own eyes alone. To explore this world I have hand printed the butterflies and their meadows and trees with fluorescent ink. Now when shone with an ultra violet torch or lamp you can see the ultra violet colours in which makes up the butterfly's and moths world.
The exception to this screen printed collection is the piece titled Camouflage which explores the moths ability to disappear and the use of silver ink to represent those silvery wings. You can view these pieces at Lamport Hall and Primrose gallery for this September month 2024.
