February is for Fresh Ideas as the NROS Spring Open returns to Lamport Hall
Discover new artwork from artists across Northamptonshire and Rutland at a free exhibition this February.
Northants & Rutland Open Studios (NROS) returns to Lamport Hall for Spring Open 2027, taking place on 6–7 and 13–14 February, from 10am to 4pm each day
The exhibition brings together painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, photography and much more, giving visitors the chance to explore a varied collection of work and discover artists they may not have encountered before.
With a focus on fresh work, Spring Open encourages artists to explore ideas, experiment and begin the artistic year with something they are proud to share. Visitors can expect a range of approaches, materials and subjects, united by an emphasis on quality and careful presentation.
Katie Boyce, Director of NROS, said:
“We want Spring Open to reflect the wealth of skill and creativity within our community. It’s a chance for artists to try something new and for visitors to discover the work being made across Northamptonshire and Rutland.
You don’t need to know about art to enjoy an exhibition. Come and have a look, see what catches your eye and perhaps discover an artist whose work you’d like to follow.”
All exhibited artwork will be available to buy, offering visitors an opportunity to choose an original piece for their home or as a gift. Browsing and enjoying the exhibition is equally welcome, with free entry throughout both weekends.
The exhibition also coincides with Lamport Hall’s Snowdrop Walk, giving visitors the opportunity to combine art with a seasonal walk. Separate admission charges apply to the Snowdrop Walk, visit www.lamporthall.co.uk for further details.
The Spring Open is part of NROS’s year-round programme connecting artists, makers and audiences across Northamptonshire and Rutland.
