I grew up in a village as a child and I loved painting at my easel with ready mix paints. I’ve always been an outdoors person, this is where I get a lot of my inspiration from for my abstract paintings.
I developed my painting and ideas during my Fine Art degree at Nottingham Trent University. It became obvious at this point how colour became a main focus to my work.
My main medium is acrylic paint; I use paint brushes, palette knives and my fingers to apply the paint to the surface of my canvas.
I work from my home studio in Northampton and I also love making handmade cards.
I would describe myself as energetic, spontaneous and smiley. I’d like to think this also comes across in my work.
