Mike Salt

Originally from the Staffordshire Moorlands, Michael J Salt BA (Hons) worked in design and advertising as an art director and illustrator but now concentrates more time on painting professionally. He is a Past President of the Northampton Town & County Art Society (2012 - 2013).

He works in oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel and in fact enjoys mixing media to achieve texture and tone. His subject matter is varied from dark brooding moorland landscapes to strong and sensitive portraiture.

He has shown work in London, Northamptonshire and throughout the Pennines and accepts and enjoys both landscape and portrait commissions.
