Pete Martin

Born in central London (1947), Pete lives in Daventry. He worked as Builder's Surveyor and as a special school teacher (mostly Art and Outdoor pursuits).

Serious interests in archaeology and caving are reflected in his work.
He is an avid keeper of sketchbooks which respond to travel, observation and study.

Peter carves stone and wood and plaster. He also works with lead and copper sheet,wire and glass. He prints from lino, woodcuts. He also models in clay and plaster.

Most of his 3D work begins with drawing and a series of small maquettes.
