Simon Mead

I first started turning in my early 20's as a method of being distracted from work, found it compuilsive and thought provoking and found a love of hollow forms. 40 years later, with more kit and skill now very passionate about bowl turning and hollow forms of an extended nature and size, especially with 'quirky bits' , that show the origin of the tree. I like to use native hardwoods, ash, and yew are favourites, but turn almost everything now I have a more capable lathe and better technique.

Have shown work at NOS last year, and in London, and a few local shows and events. Callers by appointment only
