I started out as a watercolourist delighting in the way the paint mixes and merges on the paper creating fantastic effects that are unpredictable as well as exciting, and when this all comes together wow. I now find myself concentrating mainly on traditional oil painting an entirely different approach and result, but equally challenging especially plein air which I love.
I also paint in acrylic and mixed media, painting landscapes, still life and pets in fact anything that I find inspiring or believe has a beauty waiting to be released.
I am a member of Rugby and district art society, Network arts Northampton and Napton art group regularly exhibiting my work.
I am inspired by our local countryside and holiday destinations loving the challenges of painting plein air, the changing light and weather conditions all add to produce a fresh lively work that captures a snapshot and memory of time spent.
