Abington Park Museum

Abington Park Museum is set within the grounds of Abington Park. Look out for the beautiful Grade II listed building situated between the cafe and aviary. A little-known fact is that the building was once the manor house home of Shakespeare's granddaughter, Madam Elizabeth Bernard. Madam Bernard is actually buried in the church grounds close by.

There is no better place to tell the story of Abington than in the building that was once the manor house for the extensive Abington estate. The galleries chart the history and development of Abington as it has grown from a medieval manor to an attractive leafy suburb of Northampton. Designed to allow people of all ages to explore; discover the people and places who have made Abington their home, and their experiences past and present.

Painters in the Park

An exciting exhibition from 8 Northamptonshire artists. This must-see show covers mixed media, oil, collage, batik silk and acrylic paintings, all for sale. The artists will also be on hand to demonstrate and discuss their working techniques throughout September and October.

Events - Artists will be in attendance at the museum and/or museum grounds at weekends from 7th September to 20th October. Artists will be demonstrating the working techniques behind their artwork to the public.
