Chosen for Lamport Central Exhibition 2025

Visitors last year may remember the lovely bronze sculpture of a pair of House Martins Touching the Moon - this year that sculpture was selected for the London Art Biennale 2025 - Now More

After the success of the Sculpture of House Martins Touching the Moon - Joel has submitted these lovely birds Touch of Blue Willow for the Lamport Hall Central Exhibition.
The inspiration for this artwork came in part form the story within the story of the pattern of the Blue Willow Pattern on china - that has travelled from the far East to Britain and thence across the Atlantic and further along the Western wagon trails.
The artist comments "I love the original story of the young couple running across a bridge to be together, with the two birds flying above them - this became a popular blue and white china, collected by so many and then migrating West as families travelled far to find a new home. The House Martins, our Swallows and Swifts all fly thousands of miles to make their homes in our houses and buildings and there raise their next generation."
