Spring Open 2023

On display and for sale at the Northants Open Studios Spring Open at Lamport Hall

Two still life mixed-media paintings inspired by my parents and their home. The encroaching garden depicts how it feels in the dining room with Dads climbing plants obscuring the window and feeling like they want to come in and take over! Reflected roses is about my Mum really, a shared love of Charles Rennie Mackintosh / Art Deco, a sense of place, and of home.
The artworks shown here were part of a series that began with adding collage of different geometric patterns onto canvas panels. Each painting developed to tell its own story.
