Description
During the Open Studios Exhibition at The Parish Church of St John in Blisworth I will be offering 1 hour day taster workshops for £20 so if you fancy having a go at working with glass this is a great and cost effective way of giving it a try.
The workshops will last up to an hour and I will teach you how to cut glass and help you design and make a hanging light catcher measuring 5cm x 15cm. If time allows, a second one can be made for an additional £4.
After the workshop I will take your light catchers home and fire them in my kiln. They will be ready for collection three days later or can be posted to you for an additional £2.50
My workshops are aimed at adults, teenagers are welcomed but must be accompanied by a parent/responsible adult.
If you’d like to book a slot please email me on glassbysallymcrae@gmail.com or call me on 07740 622302. Alternatively you can just turn up during the exhibition and I will fit you in if I can. Spaces is limited so the workshop and are for a maximum of 2 people at a time.
Please do not wear sandals/flip flops or any other open shoes, it really hurts if a piece of glass gets stuck between your foot and your shoe and if you are not wearing suitable footwear you will not be able to take part - sorry.
