Description
As part of our Northants & Rutland Open Studios events we are offering taster workshops. This event will give you a taster of what Lampworking is all about.
Duration: 1.5 hours
What will I make? 2 - 3 beads which will be assembled into a bookmark
Can I take it with me?
Your beads will be annealed in the kiln then cleaned before being assembled into the bookmark. Annealing prolongs the life of beads and removes the stress of heating. the firing takes 8 hours. You can either collect the finished bookmark or it can be posted to you.
What's included in the cost of the workshop?
All safety equipment tuition, materials, firings and postage (if req) are included in the cost. Plus tea, coffee, soft drinks and cake will be served throughout.
To ensure safety we allow 2 people per workshop. I will give a risk assessment safety demonstration first and guide you through your bead creation.
