Description
Jo Cross – Wire Wrapped Jewellery Artist will be at Vitreus Art giving a demonstration on Saturday 21st September from 11am to 15:00hrs.
Jo will be happy to show you some of the techniques she uses on the workshops that she runs at the Vitreus Art Studio.
Jo’s jewellery workshop will teach you how to make funky wire-wrapped jewellery - using Sea glass and stone 'jewels' and glass cabochons in just a few hours. You'll make several necklaces or pendants or bracelet charms - using materials provided, or you can bring your own precious pieces of sea-glass to incorporate!
More about Jo:
Jo trained as a costume maker and seamstress before joining the Royal Shakespeare Company making and repairing costumes for some of the company's best-known shows.
More recently Jo has developed a unique form of beaded jewellery making, has established a business making and selling jewellery with fused glass jewels, and now makes and teaches others how to make wire-wrapped jewellery - with a particular interest in using sea glass and her own fused glass cabochons.
