Description

A truly magical and wonderful course not to be missed!

In our Beginner Hand-Building Pottery Course, you will learn the art of creating beautiful pottery pieces with your own hands. No previous experience is required - this workshop is designed specifically for beginners like you! Throughout the course, you will discover how to sculpt, coil, build with slabs, and pinch clay to bring your unique ideas to life. In session two, you will learn how to use a variety of glazes to decorate and paint your three projects.

-This intensive Hand-Building Course will run over a full day from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday 7th September
-All work must dry completely before a bisque fire and glazing can commence
-You will have to come back at a suitable time at the end of September or the start of October to glaze your pieces

You will construct three beginner-intermediate projects. You'll leave with at least three pieces of handmade ceramics by the end of the pottery course!

During the class, you will work with various materials such as clay, sculpting tools, and glazes. Our instructor will teach you different techniques to add texture and shape to your creations. By the end of the course, you will have a collection of handmade pottery items to proudly display in your home or gift to your loved ones. Groups are small, which will provide lots of one-to-one support in this creative space. You do not have to bring anything, aprons, tea, coffee and cake will be provided.
