Slow Stitching for Beginners with Julie Williams
Since retiring from a full time career in Primary Education in Northamptonshire, I started working as a tutor with Adult Learning Northants. I teach courses about a variety of textile techniques. Alongside this, I am developing my own textile practice. I am particularly drawn to images from nature, especially flowers, leaves and trees. My own garden is a source of inspiration along with the landscape of Norfolk and Suffolk. I enjoy exploring and combining techniques such as mono printing, needlefelting, embroidery, applique and collage within a piece of work.
