Description
In this session, you will learn the basics of lino cutting, with Printmaker Charlotte Ashman.
This includes:
* Drawing direct to the block and transferring a drawing.
* Cutting various types of lino surfaces currently available to printmakers with specialist tools.
* Printing onto paper and fabric.
* Using oil and water-based inks.
This workshop is a 'tour' of the process of linocut printmaking. It is for those who would rather play and experiment with the medium, instead of undertaking a more in-depth learning process that I cover in my 'Beginners Linocut Workshop'.
The prints you create will be suitable for making greetings cards, repeat patterns, or fabric patches. You can take your block home after the workshop to carry on printing.
Suitable for ages 14 and upwards.
We provide tea, coffee, and cake with no extra charge but you will need to bring your own packed lunch.
