Angela Setterfield

I am currently working on abstract land and seascapes using acrylics and mixed media. I'm inspired by the land and sea in Spain, together with the more local landscapes in the UK. I love creating unexpected pieces of art that develop using layers of paint scrubbing, washing, scratching, and generally experimenting with mark making, resulting in a piece of art that hopefully takes you on a journey. In contrast to this I also love a more spontaneous approach, with less layers but equally as experimental, which creates a sense of space looking across the land, mountains, sea and lakes.
