Drawing upon the rich tradition of letterpress craftsmanship, I enjoy creating a diverse array of artworks, posters, and cards, from vintage wood and metal type, and linocuts. My workshop, in a tranquil village, where red kites grace the skies above, is where you’ll find me creating works of art on presses. Each creation bears the hallmark of letterpress, showcasing the charm that can be achieved from experimenting with different colours and papers.
While my journey initially led me to a career in graphic design, my roots in printing run deep, stemming from training as a printer five decades ago. I am passionate in keeping the legacy of movable type alive, a technology pioneered by Johannes Gutenberg in 1450. Its this love for typography and lettering that infuses my projects with a sense of authenticity and craftsmanship.
