Paintings are mainly in oils with a few watercolours, inspired by nature, wildlife, local landscapes in North Northamptonshire. I am currently enjoying painting diptychs and triptychs.
Ceramic beads are fashioned from earthenware clay and biscuit fired. They are then hand painted and glazed. This may be a pattern from ancient symbols or a complete landscape painted on an individual bead. These are then fired again, some in a traditional kiln and others in a Japanese Raku kiln which give a different range of colours and textures. If a real gold or platinum detail is added this then requires the beads to be fired a third time. All the clasps and ear wires are sterling silver.
