I am a self-taught, professional artist specialising in pets, people and wildlife. After over 20 years of experimenting, observing, drawing, painting and teaching, I am now very passionate about what I do. I continue to enjoy commission work and am excited to move forwards into selling original pieces of art via exhibitions, competitions and online platforms.
My studio is based in Cottesmore where I predominantly work in pastel, a very subtle medium that is ideal for capturing the reality of fur and skin. Working in a realistic style ensure that I capture the likeness and character of my subject whilst still being able to use a little bit of artistic licence! Remaining compelled to pass on my knowledge through workshops and private lessons, I love to help others by promoting confidence, courage and inspiring people to have a go.
I run a number of workshops, private lessons and demonstrations where I try to impart tips and techniques of what I’ve learnt over the years. It gives me great pleasure and satisfaction when students leave my classes feeling thrilled with their work and wanting to do more :-)
