Angela Sanderson

I am at the beginning of my personal artistic exploration. I studied Fine Art at Bristol University some 30 years ago, completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education a few years later and have worked, and continue to work in art education since graduating.

I am now beginning to have the time to explore my own artistic ideas. I am currently using my local surroundings in Northamptonshire to explore ideas and themes of local typography, public access to nature and the feeling of a place. Working from observation and imagination. I am enjoying exploring these themes whilst investigating, pattern, decoration, texture, perspective and composition.

I am learning new techniques and processes, such as: drawing on a large scale and frieze type format, printmaking and watercolour. I love ceramics and when time permits, I experiment with these themes developing surface pattern techniques.
