I am a Raunds based fine artist.
Coming from a technical design background, much of my work is very precise and detailed.
I believe my artwork is very much a reflection of my passions and interests.
A life long bird watcher, conservationalist and nature lover.
I enjoy painting wildlife, birds, and landscapes, as well as commission portraits and still life studies, and also love drawing - absolutely anything and everything.
I have always been involved in design and illustative work, architectural and planning drawings.
I also enjoy walking, gardening and literature, classical music, opera and brass.
I am a very keen photographer, mainly wildlife and landscape - which provide me with varied subject matter and inspiration for my artwork and supports my enthusiastic compulsion to paint and create.
I was immersed in art from a very early age - my Mum is a keen amateur artist, and I witnessed painting and galleries first hand, developing a very keen interest in art history as time passed. She has run an art group in Raunds for many years and is my greatest supporter, critic and an inspirational mentor.
I studied Art and Design at Art College, and later an MA in the History of Art. I am an active member of Kettering & District Art Society, the Society of British Wildlife artists, the FPAA and have won a number of awards and prizes over the past few years for my artwork, exhibiting locally and beyond.
Whilst I love many areas of the British Isles, particularly Scotland, Yorkshire, The Peak District, Snowdonia and Pembrokeshire, I am proud to live and work in beautiful Northamptonshire and to be a part of NOS.
