I am an equine artist based in Northamptonshire, UK. Although I draw and sketch, oil painting is my passion. Many of my personal works focus on the natural beauty of the horse as well as the role of the horse in past equestrian traditions, in particular the art of side saddle riding. The horse is an ever-growing fascination within my art practice as it possesses many qualities of elegance, majesty, softness, and power.
In 2018 I graduated with a BA in Fine Art Painting and Drawing. It was during my second year of the course that I found the art of side saddle, which gave my art practice a new purpose. Since graduating my work has been richly influenced by history and the evolving elegance and social etiquette of riding aside. I strive to celebrate the horse as I look back at the past and to the old masters.
I am currently completing an MA in Art History to expand my knowledge and build on my art practice.
