Melissa Mcdonald

Melissa McDonald was born in Hertfordshire in 1975 but did not discover a calling for her art until later in life after working and travelling around the Highlands of Scotland and Cornwall. Finding peace from a busy and impatient mind in climbing and walking in this scenery is what has led to a now prolific creativity in her artwork. Melissa attempts to capture the sense and atmosphere of the landscape balancing between abstract and representational techniques with an expressive brush stroke.

As an artist, I am drawn to the captivating coastlines and ever-changing skies of Scotland and Cornwall. Through my paintings, I strive to transport viewers to these breathtaking landscapes, evoking a sense of serenity and wonder.
